Dr Oz: Lose 15 Pounds In 30 Days – Wheat Belly Diet
December 3/12 Dr Oz: Lose 15 Pounds in 30 Days Wheat Belly Diet! Are you addicted to wheat? Today Dr. Oz sits down with the controversial cardiologist Dr William Davis. According to Dr. Davis, wheat is not only addictive but also the #1 food item causing Americans to gain weight. Today on Dr Oz we learn how we can achieve weight loss by following the wheat belly diet plan found in his bestselling book Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight and Find Your Path Back to Health. Wheat Belly book has been a New York Times best seller for over 6 months and states that you are a victim of Frankenwheat that is poisoning you.
Dr Oz: Wheat Belly DietWhat is Frankenwheat: Dr. Davis claims that frankenwheat, today’s wheat is both addictive and toxic. By eliminating what he calls “Frankenwheat” from your diet, you’ll dramatically shrink your belly and also ward off or reverse myriad health problems. All the modern wheat we today no matter how good it says it, is not good for you according to Dr Davis. Modern wheat is addictive and makes you want to eat more and is as addictive as many drugs.
Over the years, wheat has been genetically modified in order for American farmers to produce a high-yield crop of dwarf-size plants that was never tested to see if it was healthy for human consumption according to Davis. The majority of wheat grown and harvested today is only a distant ancestor of the real wheat that our ancestors ate.
Dr Oz: Why Is Wheat Addictive: Dr. Davis said that modern wheat is a highly addictive complex carbohydrate since it contains a special protein called gliatin, which has the same effect on brain receptors as opium. Gliatin stimulates the appetite, creating incessant hunger and cravings for more wheat products and refined carbs.
Wheat stimulates appetite, so people who consume modern wheat are triggered to consume 440 calories more per day, 365 days a year. If you add that up that’s a lot of calories says Dr Davis. We are not stimulated to eat more salmon or vegetables we are stimulated to eat more junk carbohydrates. Wanting more bagels, cookies and chips, it’s a perfectly crafted poison to make you can more stomach weight, visceral fat.
He goes on to say to Dr Oz no human should be eating this modern genetics of research because this wheat has so many adverse affects on the person who eat foods like bagels and bread, all things that are made with modern wheat flour. he then tells Dr Oz that no one should eat wheat anymore because it will impact on health, we may not perceive it as due to wheat but it will impact on our health in one way or another. Sometimes in subtle ways and for others in dramatic ways, but it will impact our health.
Whole Wheat Is Not Good For You
Dr Oz confronted Dr Davis on whole wheat, whole grains and whole wheat cereals that are known to be better for you than regular processed flours. After Oz read Wheat Belly it shows That Dr Davis argues that Dr Oz’s recommendations on eating 100% whole grains has been flawed all the years he has been saying it.
Dr Davis tells Oz that a lot of people have fallen into that trap in believing that whole grains and whole wheat flours are better than white flours. If you take something bad for you like white flour and make it less bad for you by using whole grains there is a health benefit for you.
Dr Davis says to now take that false logic to cigarettes, if he takes unfiltered cigarettes which are bad and replace it with a filtered cigarette there is an apparent health benefit, but it is still bad for you. Logic is if you you remove something that is less bad entirely imagine the health transformations.
The concept here is that whole wheat bread can increase blood sugar to levels higher than eating a candy bar. Dr Oz did an experiment to check out if what Dr Davis said was true. 5 women were given whole wheat bread on day and 24 hours later they were given a chocolate bar instead of the bread. 3 out of the 5 women had a higher blood sugar spike from the whole wheat bread than the candy bar. The blood sugars were two times higher from eating the whole wheat bread than the candy bar.
Dr. Davis promises that by taking wheat from your diet, you eliminate its appetite-stimulating properties, which in turn you will experience a dramatic reduction in hunger levels.
