Dr. Oz Dr. Nemeh Faith Healer; Dr Issam Nemeh the faith healer who heals not with surgery or drugs. Tumours gone and diseases disappear by Dr. Issam Nehem, see how he does it. Today we meet the man who says he can heal the sick with his faith in this segment called of the Dr. Oz In Case You Missed It Feb. 1st. Dr. Oz: Faith Healer Dr. Issam Nemeh The Man Who Heals With His Hands. Is he the real deal? You’ll hear from believers and skeptics. Dr. Oz has Dr. Issam Nemeh demonstrate his work on the show by healing a woman on stage. Dr. Nemeh has been called a faith healer but Dr. Nemeh insists there’s a scientific basis behind what he does.
Dr. Oz said this show is not about prayer and whether prayer works or not, it’s about opening our minds up to hear the questions, even if you don’t have all the answers that faith raises. We’re not going to get all these answers, certainly not today. I think if we start this dialog and keep asking these questions we will be more enlightened at the end of this.
Today a woman who is bothered by lower back pain from arthritis is healed by Dr. Nehem on stage, and questions like do you have to be religious to be healed? Does everyone get healed who comes to Dr. Nemeh?
Dr. Oz said he has heard stories for years about Dr. Nemeh from Cleveland, thousands of people go to see him and be touched by him. He doesnt’ perform surgery or prescribe drugs he heals through prayer.
Dr. Oz asks is Dr. Issam Nemeh a faith healer or not, part of his studio audience today are people who have claimed they have been healed by Dr. Nemeh who heals with his hands.
Dr. Nemeh is a trained anesthesiologist and he’s bridging his medical beliefs with his spirituality. He works in a medical office where he treats his patients with a high tech electrical form of acupuncture , and in churches and meeting halls where he heals people through the spirit. Many believe so strongly in his calling that he holds free healing sessions for anyone who is suffering.
Hundreds and sometimes thousands of people come to see Nemeh and for many of them the experience is nothing short of over whelming. Some claimed to be healed by Nemeh, conditions their doctors could do nothing about.
People Who Have Been Healed By Dr. Nemeh-Testimonies:
“I woke up and her children were standing in the kitchen and for the first time I could see all 3 of their faces.”
“I knelt down next to my son in his wheel chair and Rick says I like Dr. Nemeh he makes me hot, but it’s a good kind of hot and we saw immediate changes.”
“I do not have MS anymore.”
“i’ve had fibromyalgia sine 78 and there were times I couldn’t get out of bed but when I’m around DR. Nemeh it goes away.”
Dr. Oz says there are sceptics that claim Dr. Nemeh’s unconventional methods can’t be scientifically verified. But whatever’s going on has some doctor’s intrigued including Chief Medical Consultant Dr. Mike Roizen.
Dr. Roizen said “this is a real phenomenon, there’s something here. I don’t know whether it’s what we call in medicine as a placebo response, I don’t now whether there’s some absolute gift, but you see these people and they clearly feel better.
Dr. Nemeh asks everybody who has doubt to come and witness!
Dr Nemeh admits there’s no guarantee you will be healed, “Of course there is no guarantee otherwise you would be giving false hope. When you say faith healer it means your excluding the science completely from it and that’s not my calling. My calling is to bridge the gap between science and spirituality.”
Dr. Oz was such a sceptic that he asked Dr. Nemeh to bring him the medical records and scans to the show which he did. Dr. Oz showed them to his colleges and the medical team investigated them, he also talked to the patients and their doctor’s along with long time friend Dr. Roizen.
As Dr. Oz spoke with Dr. Nemeh they were showing clips of Dr. Nemeh praying and the laying of hands on folks, and Dr. Oz asked Nemeh “How does it work, how does someone being touched by you actually heal themselves?”
Dr. Nemeh: “There’s a connectedness I would call it, science has been recently talking about that, same phenomenon, there is no disconnection when it comes to everything there is.”
Dr. Oz: “So you helping this person that is ill connect with an energy source outside of them, are you the energy source?”
Dr. Nemeh: “I’m not the energy source, but we are a part of the all, and when we have the right state of mind then God does connect us together and he does communicate things to me, I could feel things happening within the body of those who I’m praying for. I am not disconnected.”
Before the show Dr. Oz asked the audience “How many believe that faith can heal” 86% of the audience said ‘Yes’ which surprised Dr. Oz. He asked Dr. Nemeh what pushed him beyond traditional medicine and into faith healing?
Dr. Nemeh: “Actually my own brothers went against me too, my brother is an open heart surgeon, the other one is an Ophthalmologist. They could not understand why did I shift, but I was experiencing so many healings that were happening I had to actually make the decision to one way or the other. Not only this, there is a lot of science in there and I thought it was a calling.”
Dr Oz: “If I can i’m not only going to ask just to believe the words that are being spoken, as a physician I try to look at where the information is and that is you folks, the people who have been taken care of, so before you decide if Dr Nemen can heal people I want to introduce you to some of his patients. Has anyone has ever heard of Spontaneous Healing”?
Dr. Oz: “Spontaneous Healing is when the body somehow heals itself, it has this power that we all acknowledge exists, but with medicine we don’t know why and many of us want to tap into that and we look at it in many different ways.”
Kathy says that Dr Issam Nemeh helped her deal with a mass in her lung, in fact he helped the mass disappear.
Kathy: “I was very sick constanly coughing up blood, the doctor said from what they seen on the CatScan that I had a very bad mass on my her left lung. I went to my friends beauty shop and I started crying and I told him everything that went on and he said we have to get you to Dr. Nemeh’s Office.
I was scared and I would of went anywhere to find out if there was something I can do to save my lung and keep my health and keep my life. I went to see Dr. Nemeh it was a 2 hour visit where he worked me and did Acupuncture and infared light. We talked and prayed together, all of the sudden I took this breath of air and I just kept taking breaths and could not believe just how much air I was actually taking in, I just felt wonderful. I went back to the lung Doctor and he said ” I have never get to tell my patients this but it’s gone, your clean and he said I don’t know what I’m going to write in my report.
You put what you have to put but in my heart we all know what happened here, It’s A Miracle!”
Dr Oz: Let’s take a look at kathy’s chest Xray which contained a large mass on her left lung which was from last July, a very huge concern. 2 months later a PetScan was done to see if the lump was cancerous or not and the mass was gone. So kathy you are convinced that you could feel this large mass dissolve, just heal itself as soon as Dr Nemeh started working with you, can you give us more details, help me to understand more about what went on”?
Kathy: “When I was in the office and Dr Nemeh was working on me and doing the acupuncture, praying and the spiritual prayer and talking, and he came up into my chest area and was doing the acupuncture and the infared light then all of the sudden I just started to take this breath and I just kept breathing, it was like my whole chest opened up and then Dr Nemeh said kathy you have to leave some air in the room for me it is a small office.”
Dr Oz: ” Were you surprised when months later you had another petscan and they could not find the mass anymore?”
Kathy: ” I was so shocked at first, it was like I couldn’t believe that this could happen, also because the doctor was going on about he couldnt believe what was going on. He was just as shocked as I was. He kept saying ‘its gone the mass is totally gone’.
Dr Oz has actually contacted kathys doctor Dr. James Kelly to see if that in fact true and all Dr. James Kelly had to say was I quote- “There was something there and now it’s just not, it makes you scratch you’re head.” Which Dr Oz says is a very honest answer because we don’t really know whats going on.
Dr Oz: ” kathy help me and everyone else understand what you really think is happening, how do you explain to people who just dont believe that this happened, how Dr Nemeh helped clear your lung mass.”
Kathy: ” I’ve always had faith but this really renewed my faith more then ever, but I do have to say that Dr. Kelly really thinks that I was blessed with a miracle.”
Dr. Oz: “There nay be another theroy and im just putting it out there that this was infection of some kind that has resolved itself and i’m going to offer this because like I said at the begining we are opening a door. This whole show is about exploring something we just don’t understand and we are all going to have to decide on our own how to deal with this information.”
Dr. Oz: “So if i can just talk about another patient her name is Dr. Patricia Kane, she is a physican herself and she received a deadly diagnoses 15 years ago called Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is you increasingly cannot breath, it is the primarly problem it presents with, and we don’t have a solution that we know of.
Dr. Oz: “Dr Kane I have your records and I have gone through them I’ve went through them a couple of times because it shocked me. You were diagnosed in 1995 started on immunosuppressants, condition worsened which is the natural history, most patients would die within 5 years within getting this diagnosis, after being diagnosed you decided to go see Dr Nehmeh, why is that?”
Patricia: “My nieces lead me to Dr. Nemeh for the fact that they had seen him for an injury and he had healed them so I went to go see him.”
Dr Oz: ” As a physican what’s your insight on this, do you think Dr. Nemeh was able to heal you through faith?”
Patricia: “I believe that faith was a very important componet in healing, Western Medicine did all they could but they can’t reverse scar tissue and my scar tissue was reversed.”
Dr Oz: “You know what your doctor is going to say, ‘We must of had the wrong diagnosis, it got better because we miscatagorized it, which may be right by the way, how do you answer that rebuttle?”
Patricia: “They did a biopsy of my lung and the biopsy showed fibrosis and when your looking under a microscope you can’t call it something that it isn’t.”
Dr Oz: “I want to bring in a doctor who spends his career looking at matters of faith, Dr. Jeff Redager a professer at Harvard Medical School a Phyciatrist at McLean Hospital and a Masters In Divinity.”
Dr Oz:“Dr. Redager whats the harm in believeing in that God can help you get better?”
Dr Jeffery Rediger: “There is no harm just as long as two things are remembered;
1. Don’t judge yourself or others if the illness doesn’t go away.
2. Try to avoid either/or thinking, both medicine and faith are great gifts.
Dr Oz: “How do you explain these recoveries and I must say, appear to be miraculous? ”
Dr Jeffery Rediger: “What I think at this point is that we are just not physiacl beings, we are also spiritual beings, physical beings need oxygen and spiritual beings need love. One research questioned I believe is whether there is a connection between love and healing? That is something that modern science is begining to tiptoe into.”
Dr Oz: “Talk to us more about the placebo effect because that comes up all the time, just by thinking your going to get better, you will get better. Do you have a different take on that?”
Dr Jeffery Rediger: “I believe we use the word placebo to dismiss things we do not understand. So if a person gets better because they took a sugar pill, what does that mean? It could be a spontaineous remission, it could be a misdiagnosis, it could be faith or a certain mental state, we just dont know what it is.”
Dr. Nemeh: “It’s Mind Over Matter”
Dr Oz: “Let me say this, it has been a question that has plagued me for most of my career and a lot of physicians have become interested in this area. Science has tried to study prayer healing and one of the comprehensive trials ever done was so shocking to a lot of people. cardiac surgical patients recieved prayers from afar and it turned out that these prayers had no measurable impact on the recovery of these patients.”
“So Dr Nemeh I ask patients all the time in the hospital who are suffering how there getting better, A lot of them say their praying or having people praying for them yet they don’t always get better. What do you think it is that allows you to help people get better. When they pray on their own their not able to get there”?
Dr Nemeh: “I don’t see any difference in theirs, everybody has the same access of prayer as I have, I cant see any differences there. The only thing that is of importance again is the state of mind right where they are. That highest state of mind that we have for everyone and the love for everyone we have around us and the care of course. Not only this, going back to the healing itself a lot of people com in with pictures of there sick ones and they did not know we were praying for them. A lot of them with cancers and other complicated things that have recovered without them even knowing we were praying for them.”
Dr. Oz & Dr. Nemeh were on stage with Mary Beth who volunteered and has problems with her lower back and believes it is caused by arthritis.
Dr. nmeh placed one hand on Mary Beth’s upper side of the right chest area and began to pray while his other hand I assume was on her lower back in the site of the pain. Dr. Oz is positioned slightly behind her and as Dr. Nemeh is praying Mary Beth is standing there staring straight ahead, and then she is caught a little of balance and Dr. Nemeh asked her if she could feel that and she said yes.
Dr. Nemeh continues to pray and then puts his hand on her upper left chest area, everyone is in silence waiting as Dr. Nemeh asks if she feels any better and she said “A Little”.
Dr. Oz asked Dr. Nemeh to explain what he is doing.
Dr. Nemeh: “I feel the energy we talked about and I could feel the change actually in the back, it feels like putty because it undergoes transformation.
Mary Beth: At one point I felt a little weak and I grabbed his arm I thought I would have fell, and I hope it works.”
Brenda: ” Do you have to be religious to be healed”?
Dr. Nemeh: “You don’t have to be religious, you don’t have to have faith, you can be an Atheist, what matters is we were talking before about one very important principle, the love that we have. Because the heart of God himself is Love. No you don’t have to have any faith to be healed. ”
Sandy: “Was there any person or condition you were not able to heal”?
Dr. Nemeh: “Plenty of that, not every case that we do, it depends on the human being, sometimes it is a journey. I’ve had some people who have been with me for 12 and 14 years but their journey continues”.
Dr. Oz: “Dr. Nemeh How to people find you when they want to be healed”?
Dr Oz asked Dr. Nemeh the cost of his services – A rough idea of what he charges for healing.
Dr. Nemeh: ” They can go on the web, we have some information there about the healing “Path Of Faith”. I do charge but not all the time. Depends on people having money or not having money because insurance companies do not cover. It costs about $250 to see Dr. Nemeh”.
