Dr. Oz – The Miracle Pill Aspirin Can help Prevent Heart Disease And Cancer

Dr. Oz – Aspirin reduces inflammation in the body — It also thins the blood.

3 ways aspirin can save your life are;

1. Reduce the chances of a heart Attack
2. Reduce breast cancer risk by 30%
3. Reduce colon cancer risk in women by 50%

So if you are over forty we should be taking aspirin — Dr. Oz says to take 2 baby aspirins a day. When you take the aspirin, make sure it’s cheap aspirin because it crumbles faster. Drink them down with a big glass of warm water, because the warm water dissolves it. That way it doesn’t head right for the stomach.

Tina Battles Anorexia

Tina, a single mom has been battling anorexia for 26 years. She weighs under 90 pounds, has lost her teeth and the function of one kidney. Dr. Oz intervention comes not a moment too soon. Tina has been battling anorexia since she has been 16 years old. She eats once a day, and in the video she says it’s almost 7:00p.m. and she still has eaten. Her meal consisted of two small round crackers, two small thin round slices of cheese, and two small round slices of deli meat, all exact sizes.

At one point Tina weighed 74 3/4 pounds, and had to be hospitalized. She was at her lowest point then when her oldest daughter had passed away.

Tina, as with others who suffer with Anorexia is afraid of being fat. Tina says that anorexia is taking a toll on her body, she has lost her teeth, her hair is falling out, and has one kidney that isn’t functioning properly. Tina tells Dr. Oz she is desperate to beat this disease because it is killing her. You can hear the pain in her voice and she tells us she is afraid she won’t live long enough to be there for her daughter and her grandchildren. She looks lovingly down into the audience at her daughter who is wiping away the tears.

Up until this point Dr. Oz has helped people on his show that are battling with obesity, and food addictions that have ranged from sugar addictions to Lisa who is a binge eater. Dr. oz asked Tina why she thinks she struggles with food so much, and why she fears food. She tried to explain to Dr. Oz that it’s like a control mechanism, and there are so many foods that she has never even tasted.

Dr. Oz introduced Tina to Dr. Mary Rouse, she is the Medical Director for Clarion Health. Dr. Rouse talked with Oz about the battles Anorexia and other eating disorders. It’s dealing with the compulsions, the rituals , and living with the realistic fear of what the eating disorders are doing to everyone else involved in her life.

Signs Of An Eating Disorder

Dr. oz asked Dr. Rouse to inform everyone on what to look for if they think someone has an eating disorder. She said it depends on the kind of eating disorder.

1. Watch for preoccupation with food — not eating the foods they would have formerly enjoyed. Cutting out entire food groups,

2. Preoccupation with body shape and weight, being hyper critical of their own body weight and anyone else’s body weight.

3. Compulsive Exercise

Dr. Oz set it up for Tina to start her intervention today, and Tina says she is 100% committed. Dr. Oz helped Tina down off the stage, and Dr. Mary Rouse leaves hand in hand with Tina.
