Dr. Oz and his Chief Medical Consultant, Dr. Roizen are giving you the lowdown on how to turn back the clock. Start looking younger and feeling healthier with the Ultimate Anti-Aging Checklist.

Dr. Oz Anti Aging Checklist

Amy Wechsler joins Dr. Oz and what can we do to stop the aging process down we can slow down aging by using inexpensive plan that will make you look younger in 9 days, and turn back the hands of time. The fountain of youth at your fingertips. The anti-aging tricks to turn back the clock, and have the fountain of youth at your fingertips.

The secrets to a younger looking you is realizing what you think you are doing for your skin could be a mistake.
Dr. Roizen did the tape test on Dr. Oz’s face, which was by putting a piece of scotch tape between the eyes, one piece on each side of the eyes, on the apple of the cheeks, and one across the top lip. When you pull it off and it comes of clean, no lines or skin cells that is 30 year old skin, if there skin cells on it but no lines that’s a 40 years old skin, and if there are lines and cells that’s a 50 years old.

Dr Amy Wechler, Dermatologist, Psychiatrist and Author “The Mind – Beauty Connection”, reveals her plan to look younger in just nine days. She says stress can age the skin 3 to 6 years. Stress hormones wreck the skin and do a lot of bad things like break down the collagen to cause wrinkles, and break down the skin barriers so were drier and cause acne.

You essentially only need 4 products for basic skin care
1. Gentle Cleanser so you don’t strip your skin of the natural oils
2. Day Moisturizer with a minimum SPF 30
3. Night Time Moisturizer — It doesn’t need and SPF
4. Exfoliator to take the dead skin cells of the surface of the skin.

Melissa had a microdermabrasion done previous to the show, and then played a game for the items in your refrigerator that helps your skin. Truth Or Myth!
1. Cucumbers are good for the skin, but not for bags you get under the eyes, it help the veins under the eyes, and Dr. Oz went on to say pretty much any cold item will do it.
2. Water does not, it’s a myth. Hydration of the skin has to do with what we do to the surface of the skin, not how much water we drink.
3. Chocolate does not make you break out, it is a myth, Healthy Chocolate is good for your skin, pure cocoa and chocolate is packed with flavonoids, and antioxidants really good for anti-aging.
4. Safflower Oil is great for the skin, safflower is colourless and odourless. it is good to apply after the shower when the skin is still moist, it will act like a sponge and absorb it.

Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen’s Countdown For Sleep

Dr. Roisen; With sleep you got to plan for it, so if you want 8 hours of sleep, you say to yourself you have to be up at 7:00 A.M. you count back 8 hours, 11:00 P.M. you have to be to sleep at the latest.

Then 4 to 6 hours before that stop the caffeine, no more coffee. Two to three hours before bedtime depending on when your bedtime is don’t have anymore food. No large meals, a small snack is ok, but no large meals. Sixty minutes before bedtime turn off all electronics, then thirty minutes before, think of something to drink that calms you like camomile tea, or low fat milk. Then five minutes before you plan to go to bed it’s lights out, make your bedroom dark and cool, and that is the essential plan. Dr. Roisen says Plan For Sleep!

300 pounds And Out Of Control, Learn Marlena’s Weight Loss Secrets

As Marlena grew up the rules of the dinner table was to eat everything on your plate before leaving the table. From the age 13 to 28 she kept that rule, and over the years she got bigger and bigger. Marlena never saw her weight as a problem, on her wedding day she weighed almost 300 lbs. Then she got a harsh wake up call by getting horrible headaches, her knees gave out and worst of all she developed high blood pressure. Her Dr. told her she would have to take medicine for the rest of her life. This frightened her, she got depressed and started drinking too much. She watched a Dr. oz show on healthy eating, so she put Dr. Oz’s Healthy Eating Plan into action.

Her waist was 44 inches
B/P — 150/90
Cholesterol — 210
Weight — 298
Real age — 40

When she walked out on that stage I couldn’t believe it, there was not one thing about her that looked the same as in the pictures Dr. Oz showed while she told her story.

Her new measurements are
Waist — 22 inches
B/P — 130/70 (No more medications needed)
Cholesterol — 170
Weight — 141

The 3 foods To Eliminate From the Diet

The 3 foods Marlena eliminated from her diet;
1. Remove Hydrogenated oils which are found in snacks, cookies, processed foods, all have trans fats. Now she eats trail mix as her snack, she makes her own.
2. Remove the white flours and replace with 100% whole wheat or 100% whole grains, it has to be 100% whole grains
3. Remove the Saturated Fats, saturated fats are animal fats that are solid at room temp. She gave up the deep fried foods, and she only cooks what she makes, she said if she doesn’t cook it, she don’t buy it! She uses chicken breasts a lot, brown rice and vegetables.

Dr. oz says to follow the automated meal plan. For breakfast Marlena has oatmeal every morning with dried fruit on it such as prunes or raisins, if she wants a snack she has fruit, and she stops eating when her stomach says she’s full.

Over Active Bladder How Many Times A Day Do You Pee

How many times a day do have to go pee, do you always have to go pee? Dr. Oz is battling urination urges, over active bladder, and the three reasons why you have to go to the bathroom so frequently and what you can do about it.
Roseanne from the studio audience accompanied Dr. Oz to have a look at female bladder, and the bladder of a male, which look similar in size. The female bladder can hold about a pint of fluid(450 cc) at any one time. A man’s bladder can hold 550 cc’s at a given time. The reasons guy’s can hold it in and women can’t are for three different reasons.
1. Pressure on the bladder — The Uterus is behind the bladder pushing on it all the time. Fat, a woman can have an enormous amount of fat pushing down on her bladder, so you have the uterus pushing on the bladder from behind and fat pushing down on top of the bladder. If you lose just 10% of the fat of your body you can reduce the amount of pressure you feel on your bladder by up to 50%
2. Having a baby messing up the pelvis; When you have had a child, the baby pushes down on the pelvic muscles and they become loose and lax, and that’s another reason why you can’t hold your pee as well. Dr. Oz recommends doing Kegel exercises.
3. An Over Active Bladder is the third reason why you may have to go to the bathroom more often. Acidic foods, citrus foods for example are some juices, lemon etc., are responsible for an overactive bladder and make you go pee more, also Spicy foods.

Loved todays show and the recap here at the website. I had only a question. In regards to exfoliating or microdermabrasion etc., if you have rosacea what is okay to do? Many things are way to harsh and iritate my skin.

Hi Lynda,

I checked around and here are two links and they are for people who have Rosacea, They are very gentle products. Just follow the links and take a look at the B. Kamins Products.

(all skin types) (oil free) (for both face and eye area) (gentle and effective for problem skin conditions such as rosacea, acne and eczema) (fragrance free) (no color added)

B Kamins Vegetable Skin Cleanser

Lactic acid, the most gentle of AHAs, is also rich in moisturizing attributes, making it a perfect alternative to Glycolic Acid for more sensitive skin types. The anti-bacterial properties of Salicylic Acid combined with its ability to help speed up cell renewal, ensures a smoother, brighter skin tone.
Benefits:
• Helps stimulate collagen and elastin for a firmer appearance.
• Diminishes the appearance of lines, wrinkles and scarring.
• Provides a more even skin tone and texture.
• Recommended for all skin types except hyper-sensitive and rosacea.

Anti Wrinkle Facial Cream October 21, 2009 at 9:29 pm

If you are looking into anti aging products you should make sure that the product you choose helps build up collagen and elastin.

While many are engrossed in looking for the best anti-aging product, there are also people who maintain an indifferent approach to aging. They just don’t see aging as a big deal thus they make no effort to maintain skin moisture.

A diet rich in fruits and vegetables can contribute to the elasticity of your skin.A good anti-aging skin care treatment never underestimates the value of taking 10-12 glasses of water daily.

A healthy way of life will sure have a great impact on your anti aging beauty treatment.

Sorry, but there’s no way that woman had a 22 inch waist at her height and weight, even if she sucked in as hard as she could. She stood right next to Oz and had the same waist so I would bet it should have said 32 inches. They should be more careful with stats because as soon as you screw up one, people can’t believe any are correct.

trish October 23, 2009 at 4:47 pm

I agree with you, I believe it was 32 also, but that was the number they put out there on the show, and I put out the numbers that the show puts out.
I didn’t put out that number to purposely to deceive anyone.

Thanks For visiting Healthy Body Daily

lyndas9254 October 23, 2009 at 7:36 pm

Trish, your recommendation of the b-Kamins Lactic 8 says not for supersensitve or rosacea!! I see you grabbed that info from the description on the site. I don’t think this one will work since it says not for rosacea under the benefits…something else…
