Dr Oz Poop

What should it look like? How does it work? What color should it be? Why does it smell? Everything you need to know about your bowels! Dr Oz talks about the 3 most important things you need to know — The shape of your poop, the consistency of your poop, and the color of your poop.

Dr Oz Shape Of Your Poop

Dr oz says our poop should be about a level 4 which is an S shape stool. Dr Oz says there is a system they use in medicine to figure out the different ways your poop can look on a scale from 1 to 7.

The constipated end of the spectrum your poop sometimes gets thinner, sometimes thicker and your stools begins to crack and you could end up with little poop pellets.

Dr Oz Consistency Of Your Poop — Why You Get Constipated

Dr Oz says there are many reasons why you can become constipated — Part of the reason you get constipated is because you don’t have enough water in the poop. This in turn leads to a big issue of poop consistency, if you have to much of this water system going on you could have an allergy, or you could be eating a food that is irritating you like dairy or sorbitol. These will actually block the ability of the intestine to pull the fluid back.

Dr Oz says there are also foods(Bathroom Boosters-Foods That Make You Poop) that will speed the transit time like caffeine and chocolates, these will move things along more rapidly. If you don’t have enough of the good stuff in your diet and you don’t have enough water in your diet and it takes a long time for everything to pass through the intestines at a steady rate you will get constipated says Dr Oz.

Dr Oz’s solutions for constipation are getting more water in your daily diet, plus get more filler which means fiber and leafy green vegetables.

Dr oz says the color of your poop should be brown which we all know and have seen on a daily basis, he said your poop can also be green that is normal.

You don’t want black poop because that means your bleeding and it’s called Mellina. BUT! sometimes iron pills will make your stools this black color.

If your poop is black, and it smells bad when it comes out and tarry looking it means your bleeding somewhere and you may have an ulcer. Dried blood is present in it from internal bleeding in the upper digestive tract.

The red poop could be from Hemorrhoids, it could be bleeding lower down in the intestinal tract — BUT! remember there are foods that can also make your poop red. Eating intense red food coloring, or red foods such as beets. More on Dr Oz Hemorrhoids And Why They Happen

White/pale: A white or pale stool may also be an indication of problems with the gallbladder or liver. Fat in stool or pale colored stool – If Your Poop Is A White Colour And Floats Warning-sign of pancreatic cancer
