Dr Oz 5 Medical Tests Women Need

Early detection is often the best prevention. Dr Oz says women need to be screened for certain serious, sometimes deadly, medical conditions. But do you know which common medical tests you should have this year? Here are the Dr Oz Five Medical Tests Every Woman Needs And Should Have Done.

Dr Oz 5 Tests – Oral Cancer, Ankle-Brachial Index, Depression, Skin Cancer, Glaucoma

Test 1: Oral Cancer – Oral cancer can be caused by chronic inflammation or transmittal of the HPV virus through oral sex. Look for abnormalities in the mouth, such as white patches and ulcers that don’t heal.

The Cleveland Clinic:

What are the signs and symptoms of oral cancer?
The following are the common signs and symptoms:

1. Swellings/thickenings, lumps or bumps, rough spots/crusts/or eroded areas on the lips, gums, or other areas inside the mouth
2. The development of velvety white, red, or speckled (white and red) patches in the mouth
3. Unexplained bleeding in the mouth
4. Unexplained numbness, loss of feeling, or pain/tenderness in any area of the face, mouth, or neck
5. Persistent sores on the face, neck, or mouth that bleed easily and do not heal within two weeks
6. A soreness or feeling that something is caught in the back of the throat
7. Difficulty chewing or swallowing, speaking, or moving the jaw or tongue
8. Hoarseness, chronic sore throat, or changes in the voice
9. Ear pain
10. A change in the way your teeth or dentures fit together – a change in your “bite”
11. Dramatic weight loss

If you notice any of these changes, contact your dentist immediately for a professional examination.

Test 2: Ankle-Brachial Index – The Ankle-Brachial Index test is used to detect peripheral arterial disease (hardening of the arteries). Risk factors include smoking, a family history of diabetes or heart disease, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

The Mayo Clinic:

The ankle-brachial index test is a quick, noninvasive way to check your risk of peripheral artery disease (PAD). Peripheral artery disease is a condition in which the arteries in your legs or arms are narrowed or blocked. People with peripheral artery disease are at a high risk of heart attack, stroke, poor circulation and leg pain.

The ankle-brachial index test compares your blood pressure measured at your ankle with your blood pressure measured at your arm. A low ankle-brachial index number can indicate narrowing or blockage of the arteries in your legs, leading to circulatory problems, heart disease or stroke. The ankle-brachial index test is sometimes recommended as part of a series of three tests, including the carotid ultrasound and abdominal ultrasound, to check for blocked or narrowed arteries.
The ABI uses a Doppler device to compare the strength of the pulse near the ankle to the strength of the pulse in upper arm near the heart. Both blood pressures should match. When ankle pressure is higher than the arm’s, it can signal plaque build-up in the legs.

Test 3: Depression – Untreated depression can lead to risky behaviors such as alcohol and drug abuse that contribute to poor overall health. To find out if you might be at risk for this serious medical illness, ask yourself these questions:

Over the past few weeks, do you take pleasure in doing things?
Have you been feeling down or hopeless?

If you’ve experienced these feelings the majority of time there’s a 75% chance you have a depressive disorder and a 38% of having a major depressive disorder

Dr. Oz’s 5 Depression Warning Signs

1. Loss of interest or pleasure in activities normally enjoyed
2. Changes in weight or appetite
3. Changes in sleeping habits
4. Feelings of sadness, guilt and hopelessness
5. Do others think you are depressed.

Dr. Oz Depression Warning Signs Know What To Look For, help detecting and treating depression.

3. Getting enough exercise.
4. Reach out to social supports.

Test 4: Skin Cancer – Skin cancer is the #1 cancer in America. Early detection can increase your chance of survival by 600%.

Test 5: Glaucoma – Glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness. Glaucoma can damage the eye’s optic nerve resulting in vision loss and blindness. It occurs when the normal fluid pressure inside the eye rises. The test for glaucoma is called Tonometry which involves measuring intraocular pressure after numbing the eyes with drops. To check for optic nerve damage, an opthalmoscope is used to look directly through the pupil to the back of the eye.

Told she was having a panic attack at the hospital and sent her home. When it happened again she was told she had a panic disorder and needed councilling.
Dr Oz Organs That Detox The Body; Kidney, Liver and the Lungs – Detoxing the Body
Dr. Oz looks into the organs responsible for detoxing your body – and what you should do to keep them healthy. Dr Oz played a game today called “What’s My Function”. Listed below you will find the 3 organs that are responsible for detoxing your body – Dr Oz Detoxing The Body

1. Kidney: Cleans the blood of toxins and urine, which in turn cleans the bladder. Drink water to keep your kidney’s working well.
2. Liver: Processes alcohol. The liver is the only organ in the body that can completely regenerate itself. Include anti-oxidants in your diet to keep it healthy.
3. Lungs: Rids the body of waste.

Foods To Cleanse The Liver

Turmeric, known as curcumin, is useful for treating and cleansing the liver, relieving liver injury and for invigorating the production of bile. Turmeric helps rejuvenate liver cells that break down toxins. The bitter herb has a mild and earthy taste. It can be added to whole grains when they are cooking, marinara sauce, soups, stews, stir fry’s, or any food you wish. Fibrous Cuban black beans and yellow rice is a prime example.

Juice fasting – When preformed for several days or weeks, Fasting can stimulate the removal of internal toxins. There are many different types of fasts. Always research then consult with your physician before attempt a fast..

Eat a wide variety of raw, organic vegetables; eight to ten portions daily. Broccoli, kale, cauliflower, spinach and cabbage are prime examples. Fruit is equally important as it contains powerful antioxidants that scavenge for free radicals that causing oxidation and irritation. Locally grown produce contains higher amounts of vitamins and antioxidants and supports the local economy.

Your liver does three main things: helps digest stuff, make proteins, and gets rid of bad stuff.

Everything we eat and drink has to be broken down into different chemicals before they can actually get to work on helping (or in the case of some foods and drinks, harming) your body. That’s one of the primary jobs of the liver.

Virtually every nutrient we consume, whether it is good for us or not, must pass through the liver so it can be transformed into a different biochemical form. That transformation is what allows the nutrient to be used, transported to a different location in the body, or stored as an extra inch of fat on your thighs.

Dr Oz Says Learn how eating the right combination of 3 super nutrients can deliver a powerful dose of Alzheimer’s prevention. Groundbreaking research has shown that a diet rich in a trio of combined nutrients may lower your risk of Alzheimer’s disease by more than one third. Below is Dr Oz Foods That Fight Alzheimer’s, these are the foods you should eat regularly to fight against this devastating disease Alzheimer’s says Dr. Oz.

Studies indicate that a diet rich in folate, found in leafy greens like spinach and kale; vitamin E, found in almonds and hazelnuts; and the Omega-3 fatty acids in salmon may lower your risk for Alzheimer’s by more than 1/3.

Dr Oz said today that Alzheimer’s affects 5 million people in the United States alone. Alzheimer’s is one of the most feared diseases in the world. New research suggests that the power to prevent this debilitating illness may lie within the foods we eat. A recent study demonstrates how a dietary combination of 3 key nutrients might create a potent potion against this frightening ailment.

Dr Oz Alzheimer’s Disease?

Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive brain disease that slowly destroys memory, thinking skills and over time, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks of daily living. Symptoms of AD usually first appear after age 60. Although there are some medical treatments to slow the progression of this disease, no cure currently exists.

Dr Oz Early Signs Of Alzheimer’s

Dr Oz’s Checklist of the seven early signs of Alzheimer’s can help you decide whether you or a family member needs further attention.

Do you:
1. Ask the same questions over and over?
2. Repeat the same story over and over (and not because your kids are tuning you out yet again)?
3. Forget how to do something that you normally can do easily?
4. Get lost in familiar surroundings?
5. Misplace things often?
6. Neglect to bathe?
7. Rely on someone else to make decisions you’d normally make yourself?

Dr Oz Foods That Fight Alzheimer’s

A revelatory study on lowering the risk of Alzheimer’s disease by ingesting certain nutrients was published in the April 2010 issue of Archives of Neurology and suggests that a diet combining key superfoods may actually prevent Alzheimer’s.

The nutrients identified – folate, vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids – are all believed to reduce inflammation, which has been shown to play a role in Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr Oz had a grocery bag with what he called Alzheimer’s fighting foods, superfoods that you eat together because they work together to ward off Alzheimer’s. 3 key nutrients are Folate, high levels of this amino acid in the blood have been linked to reducing Alzheimer’s disease, creating plaque that is less toxic, or inflammatory. Dr Oz Alzheimer’s Recipes include leafy greens such as;

1. kale
2. Spinach is high in folate
3. Black-eyed peas
4. Great northern white beans and other legumes are also rich in this valuable nutrient.

Dr Oz Vitamin E For Alzheimers

Vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin, may also help fight the formation of plaque buildup seen in Alzheimer’s patients.

Nuts such as;

1. Almonds
2. Hazelnuts
3. Sunflower seeds
4. Sweet potatoes
5. Olive oil are all foods rich in vitamin E.

Dr Oz Omega-3 Fatty Acids For Alzheimers

Dr Oz says to eat cold-water fish such as salmon and sardines are high in omega-3s, and so is flaxseed oil. Many nuts such as walnuts and almonds contain high levels of omega-3s and also vitamin E, making them solid choices that do double duty in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

An anti-inflammatory diet is generally protective against a wide range of diseases, and Alzheimer’s disease is believed to have an inflammatory component.

One particularly promising spice is turmeric; one of its components, curcumin is strongly anti-inflammatory. Elderly villagers in India have one of the world’s lowest rates of Alzheimer’s; the reason may be the turmeric that they consume in their daily curries.

Dr Oz Alzheimer’s Genetic Risk

Genes aren’t destiny. But much of a person’s risk for Alzheimer’s disease is inherited. Will you ever get Alzheimer’s disease? Genetics may have the answer. The genes you’ve inherited carry most of the risk. Close relatives of people with Alzheimer’s disease are at much higher risk of getting the disease than people without such a relative. What it does not mean is that if you have such a relative, you’re doomed to get Alzheimer’s. ‘Genetic’ does not mean cast in stone.

Dr Oz Obesity and Alzheimer’s

Today’s obesity epidemic may be tomorrow’s Alzheimer’s epidemic. The high insulin levels seen in obese people may mean a high risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Today’s obesity epidemic may be tomorrow’s Alzheimer’s disease epidemic, a new study shows.

People with diabetes are at particularly high risk of Alzheimer’s disease. But now there’s strong evidence that people with high insulin levels — long before they get diabetes — already are on the road to Alzheimer’s disease.

As the body becomes more and more overweight, it becomes more and more resistant to the blood-sugar-lowering effects of insulin. To counter this insulin resistance, the body keeps making more insulin. If it continues, this escalating cycle of insulin resistance and insulin production end in type 2 diabetes.

Genetic risk: Apo E gene: A risk factor gene already identified makes one form of a protein called apolipoprotein E (ApoE). Having this gene doesn’t mean you will definitely develop AD; it only increases the risk. The majority of AD cases are late-onset, usually developing after age 65. Late-onset AD has no known cause and shows no obvious inheritance pattern. However, in some families, clusters of cases are seen. Although a specific gene has not been identified as the cause of late-onset AD, genetic factors do appear to play a role in the development of this form of AD. Only one risk factor gene has been identified so far.

Researchers have identified an increased risk of developing late-onset AD related to the apolipoprotein E gene found on chromosome 19. People inherit one APOE allele from each parent. Having one or two copies of the e4 allele increases a person’s risk of getting AD. That is, having the e4 allele is a risk factor for AD, but it does not mean that AD is certain.

WebMD Resource:

Research has been done to link physical activity and the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Adults who are physically active may be less likely to get Alzheimer’s disease or dementia than adults who are not physically active. Moderate activity is safe for most people, but it’s always a good idea to talk to your doctor before starting an exercise program.

There is also good evidence that older adults who stay mentally active may be at lower risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease. Regularly reading newspapers, books, and magazines, playing cards and other games, working crossword puzzles, going to museums, and doing other social activities, and even actively watching television or listening to the radio may help you avoid symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. Although this “use it or lose it” approach has not been proved, no harm can come from regularly putting your brain to work.

Research has also shown that people who eat more fruits and vegetables, high-fiber foods, fish, and omega-3 rich oils (sometimes known as the Mediterranean diet) and who eat less red meat and dairy may have some protection against dementia. But the reason for this is still being studied.

As we learn more about the causes of Alzheimer’s disease, we also may learn more about how to prevent the disease. Drugs now in development to prevent the formation of neurofibrillary “tangles” or amyloid plaques that damage the nerve cells in the brain may someday be used in people who are at risk for Alzheimer’s.

Research into a vaccine for Alzheimer’s disease is ongoing.

Just start at the bottom and work your way to the top. Fight disease and revitalize your body with powerful superfoods from Oz’s food pyramid and add years to your life. Oz along with most other Doctor’s will tell you prevention starts with your next trip to the supermarket. Start improving the future of your health today with the Dr Oz Longevity Grocery List Food Pyramid.

Dr Weil joined Dr Oz on a previous show and they talked about the growing medical evidence that most of the chronic degenerative diseases are the things that get us after the age of 60. Cancer, Heart Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s, all these begin as inflammatory processing in the body. So it is very important to contain inappropriate inflammation in the body and diet is one of the most powerful influences on that. Dr Oz Dr Weil Anti-Inflammatory Diet
.

Have you often wondered what Dr oz recommends as portion control, and how many servings of proteins, carbohydrates, vegetables and fruit you should have a day? Below you will find what Dr Oz said about foods for fighting diseases, and which foods should be on your longevity grocery list.

Vegetables – 4 servings a day
Jicama
Kale
Sweet Potatoes

Vegetables are the base of Dr. Oz’s food pyramid, and the most important tool in fighting every major killer in America: heart disease, hypertension and cancer.

Jicama is a slightly sweet and crisp root vegetable that is high in potassium, which helps to reduce high blood pressure. Kale is high in flavonoids, which kills off cancer cells. Sweet potatoes are high in beta carotene, which helps to build heart-healthy vitamin A within the body. Microwave or steam vegetables with as little water as possible to retain the maximum amount of nutrients.

Whole Grains – 6 servings a day
Teff
Amaranth
Millet

Whole grains are the next level up. Whole grains are high in fiber and necessary to colon health. Teff, amaranth and millet are whole grains popular in other parts of the world but now widely available in the US. These whole grains are high in protein. One key to longevity is getting more of your protein from plants instead of animal sources. They are also high in calcium, which helps to strengthen bones, and Omega-3 fats which are critical to brain health. Millet is also a great source of B-complex vitamins.

Fruits – 3 cups a day
Mango
Dates
Apples

Next to the top of Dr. Oz’s food pyramid are fruits, which pack an anti-aging one-two punch. The flesh of fruit contains vitamins and minerals, and the skin is loaded with powerful anti-agers due to a higher concentration of nutrients. Mango’s help fight cancer and heart disease, and can attribute their beautiful color to beta carotene. As a result of the drying process, dried fruits like dates are high in antioxidants. They are also a great source of magnesium, which helps the body maintain normal muscle and nerve function, steady heart rhythm and strong bones; they are also good for blood pressure and blood sugar regulation.

An apple a day may be the ultimate longevity MVP, loaded with fiber, antioxidants, folate and vitamin E to fight Alzheimer’s; and a flavonoid called quercetin that protects the brain against the oxidative stress of daily life.

Proteins – 3 servings a day
Trout
Tofu
Brazil nuts

Protein category includes meats, beans and nuts. Trout and tofu are high in Omega-3 fats, which ensure normal brain function and lower the risk of dementia. Omega-3s are essential to brain health as they provide the building blocks for brain cell renewal. Brazil nuts contain selenium, an antioxidant that fights the free radical damage that can cause cancer.

Dairy – 2 servings a day
Greek yogurt
Feta cheese
Buttermilk

The least amount of servings, is your dairy portions, which is especially important for women. Dairy contains calcium and is fortified with vitamin D – Dr. Oz’s #1 recommended supplement — to strengthen bones and fight against the onset of osteoporosis.

Dr Oz 5 Warning Signs Of Alzheimer’s

Dr Oz explains Alzheimer’s Warning signs, symptoms and risks, The disease that steals your mind. It steals your memory and there is no cure for it. Dr. Gary Small joins Dr. Oz today onDr Oz Alzheimer’s Know The Warning Signs. “Do You Know The Warning Signs for Alzheimer’s”, and The 3 ways to reduce the risks?

Dr Oz 3 Step Plan For Alzheimer’s

Dr. Oz says we are either going to get it, or know someone who has Alzheimer’s. If you are over the age of 40 you may have thought about Alzheimer’s, and do I have it, or am I going to get it. It is a question that haunts us because it’s a disease that has a long slow death sentence. Day by day, year by year it robs us of our ability to function.

Dr. Oz answers questions today for people who are afraid they already have this disorder, and reveal the top warning signs, plus ways to reduce the risks.

As we age we expect a certain amount of memory loss, maybe even confusion. But sometimes it doesn’t end there, and you struggle with simple situations that used to come naturally like finding your keys or handling money, and even getting lost in your own neighbourhood. Are these the first signs of the disease that steals your mind.

A new case of Alzheimer’s is diagnosed every 7 seconds, Alzheimer’s is progressive and irreversible.

Dr Oz Signs Of Alzheimer’s

Seniors Moments Or Alzheimer’s – Dr. Small says everyone has memory slips, Alzheimer’s is rarer but it’s more serious. It’s when those memory slips begins to interfere with everyday life. By the age of 65, 5 percent of us are at risk for Alzheimer’s. Dr. Small says the sooner we understand and recognize the warning signs and the sooner we get help, the sooner we are going to feel better. There is no cure for Alzheimer’s disease, but if someone is having a problem, by going to the doctor it may turn out to be something else. It could be depression, it could be a medication problem.

Dr. Small said he has seen people come in that are moderate to severely impaired with Alzheimer’s, and if they had come to him earlier he could of helped them much more. Dr. Oz and Dr. Small compared a normal brain to an Alzheimer’s brain, there was a major difference, one being that the brain was shrunken in comparison to the brain of someone that didn’t have Alzheimer’s.

Dr. Oz Symptoms Of Alzheimer’s

1. Memory Loss – The first warning sign for Alzheimer’s. When memory loss begins to disrupt your life.

2. Genetics – A small percentage of people actually have a genetic cause that is 100 percent causing the disease. It is in families with early onset Alzheimer’s, starts in their fifties, and about 50 percent of the relatives are affected.

3. Health Problems – High Cholesterol and High blood pressure are risk factors for Alzheimer’s, but they are risk factors you can control.

4. New Problems With Words – When it becomes for frequent.

5. Misplacing Things – Dr. Oz and Dr. Small says this usually means something more profound is going on, that something more serious may be going on.

Dr Oz’s Three Step Plan For Alzheimer’s Disease

1. Exercise everyday, a ten minute walk or any kind of aerobic conditioning will help lower your risk for Alzheimer’s.

2. Workout your mind as well as your body – do jumping jacks for the brain. Workout your right brain with jigsaw puzzles, your left brain with crossword puzzles. Train, but don’t strain your brain.

3. Take care of your diet, eat a brain healthy diet, which is similar to a heart smart diet. Dr Oz said dancing is great for the brain, it is exercise for the body, plus mental activity.

Dr. Oz says eat leafy greens because they have a lot of B Vitamins in them. Olive oil for the Omega 9 fats. The number one thing that helps in the reduction of Alzheimer’s is Curry. In India the incidence of Alzheimer’s seems to be less than the U.S. The Curcumin in curry seems to reduce some of the changes that occur in the Alzheimer’s brain. Dr. Oz recommends two servings of curry foods a week. Dr. Small says that people who ate Indian food at least once a week performed better on their Dr Oz Alzheimer’s Memory Quiz. Take the Dr. Oz Alzheimer’s Memory Test, it’s a very simple test to take to see if you may have a problem.

Is Alzheimer’s Genetic?

Dr. Oz showed the story of Laurie who was born and raised in North Dakota along with her sister and four brothers. Laurie who is only fifty years old has Alzheimer’s, and so does most of her family. Her father was diagnosed in 1977 with Alzheimer’s at the age of 41. Laurie’s says her Grandmother probably died from the same disease in her fifties. Soon Laurie’s Father’s brother and sister were also diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

When Laurie grew up and married and started a family of her own, she found out that two of her brothers were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, that’s when she realized she had trouble too, forgetting things more and more. Dr.’s suggested Genetic testing for the family, which they did. Laurie found out that her 4 brothers and herself have the gene mutation for early onset Alzheimer’s. This means 100 percent they have the disease. Only Laurie’s sister Carla escaped the curse of Alzheimer’s. Laurie’s biggest fear is has she passed this disease along to her children.

Dr Oz Says by learning how eating the right combination of 3 super nutrients can deliver a powerful dose of Alzheimer’s prevention. Dr Oz Alzheimer’s Fighting Foods – Foods That Fight Alzheimer’s

Leanna told Dr Oz she has tonsil stones in her mouth at times, and asked Oz why does she get tonsil stones and how she can prevent getting them. Dr Oz said said tonsil stones are pretty common, but they can cause bad breath. Oz also did a show on Bad Breath Halitosis Breath Of The Dead , and home remedies for bad breath.

Symptoms Of Tonsil Stones (tonsilloliths)?

Bad breath . One of the prime indicators of a tonsil stone is exceedingly bad breath, or halitosis, that accompanies a tonsil infection.

Sore throat

White debris. Some tonsil stones are visible in the back of the throat as a lump of solid white material.

Difficulty swallowing. Depending on the location or size of the tonsil stone, it may be difficult or painful to swallow foods or liquids.

Ear pain. Tonsil stones can develop anywhere in the tonsil. Because of shared nerve pathways, they may cause a person to feel referred pain in the ear, even though the stone itself is not touching the ear.

Tonsil swelling. When collected debris hardens and a tonsil stone forms, inflammation from infection (if present) and the tonsil stone itself may cause a tonsil to swell or become larger.

What causes tonsil stones (tonsilloliths)?

Your tonsils are filled with nooks and crannies where bacteria and other materials, including dead cells and mucous, can become trapped. When this occurs, the debris can become concentrated in white formations that occur in the pockets.

Tonsil stones, or tonsilloliths, are formed when this trapped debris hardens, or calcifies. This tends to occur most often in people who suffer from chronic inflammation in their tonsils or repeated bouts of tonsillitis.

How To Treat Tonsil Stones

At-home removal. Some people choose to dislodge tonsil stones at home with the use of picks or swabs.
Salt water gargles. Gargling with warm, salty water may help alleviate the discomfort of tonsillitis, which often accompanies tonsil stones.

Antibiotics – Various antibiotics can be used to treat tonsil stones. While they may be helpful for some people, they cannot correct the basic problem that is causing tonsilloliths. Also, antibiotics can have side effects.

Surgical removal – When tonsil stones are exceedingly large and symptomatic, it may be necessary for a surgeon to remove them. In certain instances, a doctor will be able to perform this relatively simple procedure using a local numbing agent. Then the person with the tonsil stone will not need general anesthesia.

How Can You Prevent Tonsil Stones (tonsilloliths)?

Since tonsil stones are more common in people who have chronic tonsillitis, the only surefire way to prevent their occurrence is with surgical removal of the tonsils. This procedure, known as a tonsillectomy, removes the tissues of the tonsils entirely, thereby eliminating the possibility of tonsillolith formation.

When bad breath can be life threatening, he was talking about some serious problems. Bad breath is about bacteria in some part of the body. Margaret joined Dr oz in a little experiment of smelling each others breath, tongue scraping,(Dr Oz recommends getting a tongue scraper) and smelling a substance that a lab made that obviously smelled extremely bad. This is the type of bad breath Doctors look for when determining something seriously wrong in the body.

Dr Oz Bad Breath Halitosis – Do You Have bad Breath?

There are 600 types of bacteria in the mouth all the time. Dr Oz said that sometimes bad breath can be a sign a something very serious, and it is called the “Breath Of The Dead.” The Doctors call it Fetor Hepaticus. The breath of the dead means the liver is not working, and there is a foul sulfur smelling breath.

Fetor Hepaticus — a distinctive musty, sweet breath odor — characterizes hepatic encephalopathy, a life-threatening complication of severe liver disease. The odor results from the damaged liver’s inability to metabolize and detoxify mercaptans produced by bacterial degradation of methionine, a sulfurous amino acid. These substances circulate in the blood, are expelled by the lungs, and flavor the breath.

Dr Oz Remedies For Bad Breath

Dr oz recommended 3 things to help for Halitosis & Bad breath:

1. Fenugreek Tea
2. Cardamon Seeds
3. Parsley

Dr Oz What Causes Halitosis Bad Breath

Persistent bad breath or bad taste in your mouth may be warning signs of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. The bacteria cause toxins or poisons to form in the mouth, which irritate the gums. Damage can occur to the gum and jawbone as periodontal disease progresses.

Other diseases and illnesses can also cause bad breath. Some of these medical problems include: respiratory tract infections (for example, infections involving the nose, throat, windpipe, lungs); chronic sinusitis; postnasal drip; Tonsil Stones;chronic bronchitis; diabetes; gastrointestinal disturbances; or liver or kidney problems.

Causes Halitosis Bad Breath

You Breathe Out What You Eat; Sometimes, your bad breath comes down to what you eat. Sometimes it’s obvious, and sometimes it’s not.

High Protein Foods – Bacteria love glomming onto proteins, so high protein foods contribute generously to halitosis. Top contenders are fish, red meat, and beans. So hold the protein, and swap out meat courses for vegetarian options a few times a week.

Coffee: This one is obvious but important. Coffee contains high levels of acid, and bacteria love acid as much as they love protein.

Sugar: Sugar encourages bacteria to reproduce and create even more volatile sulfure compounds and can attract other bacteria.

Acidic foods and drinks: Along with aiding bacteria reproduction, acids also create sour, bitter, and/or metallic tastes in the mouth.

Dairy products: Lactose intolerance causes more than stomach discomfort. It means the inability to break down the lactose protein that’s in dairy foods. This results in a buildup of amino acids, which easy convert into volatile sulfur compounds thanks to anaerobic bacteria in tongue.

Self Diagnosis – Dr Oz Do You Have Bad Breath?

Most who suffer from bad breath don’t even know it. But if you might be concerned, here are two ways to self diagnose:

1. Wipe the surface of your mouth with a piece of cotton gauze and smell it. This is probably the most honest way to judge. Moreover, if you notice a yellowish stain on the cotton, that’s a likely sign that you have an elevated sulfide production level.

2. Lick the back of your hand. Let it dry for about ten seconds, then smell. If you notice an odor, you have a breath disorder, because the sulfure salts from your tongue have been transferred to your hand.
Smell Your Floss. If your floss smells, you do indeed have bad breath.

Dr Oz Orgasm Diet Foods That Make You Frisky; 3 women learn what foods can lead to stronger orgasms.
The Orgasmic Diet Action Plan; Fuel your sex drive with the right foods. Learn what to eat and when. The results could change your life. The Dr Oz Orgasmic Diet, is an easy-to-follow diet and exercise plan.

Author Marrena Lindberg has created a 3-step plan to help women boost their libido and achieve orgasm. Jessica, Jenny and Niccki joined Marrena Lidberg on stage with Dr Oz to Know Marrena’s diet plan to boost the libido. The Orgasmic Diet: A Revolutionary Plan to Lift Your Libido.

Dr Oz Orgasmic Diet

Dr Oz says the path to greater sexual satisfaction could begin with what you eat. Marrena Lindberg, author of The Orgasmic Diet, claims that women who strictly follow the full regimen of daily supplements and dietary changes will see improved libido in 2-4 weeks.

The Orgasmic Diet includes four simple parts:

• A diet low in carbohydrates that avoids “orgasm killers” like refined sugar and caffeine
• High doses of fish oil, which has numerous health benefits
• Internal exercises that go far beyond Kegels
• Maintenance of serotonin and dopamine levels for healthy brain function

Unlike other female sexual dysfunction books out there, which focus on psychological issues or new positions to try, The Orgasmic Diet is the first-ever scientifically supported nutritional and exercise method to improve female libido and orgasmic ability. It will change your sex life forever.

Here is the Dr Oz Marrena Lindberg 3-step plan, you will find sample menus and daily to-do lists that will help you keep track of your supplement intake. If followed correctly, Lindberg claims that women can achieve orgasm in 10 seconds, women can each and every time.

Orgasmic Diet Supplements

You will have to take these supplements every day:

1. A good multivitamin in the morning
2. Fish oil, containing approximately 1700 mg EPA, 1300 DHA
3. The RDA of calcium/magnesium/zinc (1000/400/15mg); take these at different times of the day for maximum absorption
4. Extra vitamin C (a glass of orange juice a day is enough)

Every 2 or 3 days:
27 mg of iron

Step 1: Increase Your Testosterone

Studies show that women with a greater sex drive have higher levels of testosterone. To increase your testosterone, Lindberg suggests adding more protein to your diet, as well as zinc and magnesium. (Though the correlation between protein and testosterone seems to be inconclusive, there is proven science to support the zinc and magnesium recommendations.)

Protein: Get 30% of your calories from protein at every meal. Protein portions should be about the size of a deck of cards.

Zinc blocks the enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen.
Magnesium: Lower your levels of sex binding-hormone globulin (SHBG), which supresses “free testosterone.” Magnesium blocks SHBG.

Step 2: Increase Dopamine
Dopamine is the brain’s “pleasure chemical.” Increasing dopamine can boost female sexual pleasure.
Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish help to raise dopamine.
Fish oil supplements: Take a supplement containing approximately 1700 mg EPA and 1300 DHA daily. Consult your physician before starting this diet. The high dosage may interact with certain drugs, like blood thinners
Dark chocolate: Eat a small amount every day.

Step 3: Decrease Seratonin
Too much seratonin can impair your sex drive. One of the side effects of higher levels of seratonin is low libido. A moderate seratonin level is ideal.
Avoid caffeine, starch and sugars.
Starchy foods and sugar will make your seratonin levels spike.
