Dr. Oz: Ashwagandha For Vata Skin Type
Vata Skin skin is prone to pre-mature aging – characteristics of a Pitta skin type: If your skin color is pale and whitish, with a rough texture and a tendency towards scratches, bruises, and lines you are have Pitta skin type. Skin problems for the pitta’s are triggered by stress and anxiety and are most problematic during cold, windy weather.
The rough skin is from of a lack of nutrients and hydration and it is difficult for your skin to recover quickly from scratches or bruises. Cold, dry, windy weather ends up making the skin feel vulnerable.
Vata’s need to eat foods like whole-grains, cooked vegetables, and warm milk daily to get vitality and glowing skin. Dr. explained to Dr. Oz that raw vegetables should be avoided as the Vata digestion is not strong enough for them. Ginger is beneficial to the Vata type it is great for digestion should be adding spices to warm and increase metabolism.

Dr. Oz: Guggul For Kapha Skin Type
Skin color is darker than is normal for your ethnic type, skin is plump, and suffers from eruptions and oiliness. Skin problems are triggered by not washing enough, and are most problematic in cool, damp weather.
Kapha Body Type should favor foods such as spices, honey, veggies & whole grains and lentils and avoid: Sugar, salt, Fats – oils, butter, cheese.
Kapha’s can eat the exact opposite of what Pitta’s can eat, so are able to eat all the spicy foods, hot peppers, garlic, and black pepper. This breaks down the toxins in the digestive system and heats them up. Foods that are oily and heavy should be avoided by Kapha’s, as the skin already has those tendencies.
Dr. Oz’s Ayurvedic anti-aging supplement for the Kapha type, Guggul. Take 75 mg-150 mg Guggul per day with meals or without. Guggul will help melt off the fat & for Sluggish digestion.
